My OT Approach

My approach is simple: I listen first. Every person’s journey is unique, and I work hard to build a plan that fits each individual’s life, needs, and hopes for the future. Whether it’s returning to work, enjoying time with family, or gaining more independence at home, I’m here to help make those goals achievable.

I offer a range of services to support my clients and provide a person-centered therapy plan. You can find this information in the services section.

About Me

I am a Specialist Occupational Therapist with several years of experience supporting adults living with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex health challenges. I am registered with the Health and Care Professional Council (UK), Royal College of Occupational Therapists (UK) and National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapists (USA).

I work with clients across Devon and the South West, providing personalised, in-home rehabilitation to help people regain independence, manage daily tasks more confidently, and improve their quality of life.

Prior to this, I worked at Cleveland Clinic London, a leading private hospital, where I delivered advanced inpatient neurorehabilitation, trained junior therapists, and led hospital-wide training in safe moving and handling.

Originally from the U.S., I earned my Master’s in Occupational Therapy in Illinois and have worked in both hospital and school settings. I'm fully registered and certified to practise in both the UK and the USA.

What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational therapy supports people to live as independently, safely, and confidently as possible—whatever their age or condition. It focuses on everyday activities like dressing, cooking, mobility, and returning to meaningful routines. Through practical, personalised strategies, occupational therapy helps individuals overcome challenges, adapt their environment, and improve quality of life at home and in the community.

Services

Is Occupational Therapy right for me?

Occupational therapy can be life-changing for anyone facing new challenges with everyday tasks due to illness, injury, surgery, or a long-term condition. You might benefit from occupational therapy if you're struggling with things like getting around the house, washing and dressing, cooking, or managing fatigue or memory problems.

Many people find there’s a gap in support after leaving hospital—before NHS community services are in place or fully available. I provide personalised, in-home therapy during this crucial time to help you recover safely and confidently in your own environment. Whether it’s short-term help after a hospital stay or longer-term rehabilitation for a neurological condition, I’ll work with you to create a plan that supports your recovery and your goals.

By addressing challenges early, occupational therapy can reduce the risk of hospital readmission, support a smoother transition home, and help you get back to the life you want to live—at your pace.
